The Ice Epic paintball marker is a relatively new design to the sport. It made its scene a few years ago but hasn’t received much publicity. But the problem is this marker is truly a great gun waiting to be discovered!
The Epic uses a .03 inch dividing plate (trap door) to separate the paintballs as they load into the breech. This extremely light part opens to allow the ball to enter the chamber and then closes to seal the chamber where the ball is ready to be fired. The trap door closes with less than three pounds of force.
The PreVent Regulator on the Ice Epic releases any excess internal pressure automatically, the marker’s velocity remains at the set FPS without any Velocity Spikes which makes the marker very consistent.
Since the marker is so consistent and uses NO BOLT the accuracy is very good. With the Zero Recoil from the marker and the weight as well snap shooting is a breeze. The gun is easy to hold and aim so it makes for a very fun shooting experience.
As a plus with this marker the trap door is a self lubricating Delron and has hardly any moving parts, which means very low maintenance as well it has a One-year factory warranty. But the gun seems like it will hardly ever go down so even with a one year warranty there is not much to worry about.
Personally this marker is great, It shoots around 9 bps which is ok, but for back players it would not fit the bill because of its limited BPS capabilities. But for fronts you got to love it. Its got a short and snappy trigger and the weight is only about 3 lbs definitely something easy to move with. All in all this marker is DEFINITELY worth a try by any player looking to improve his/her game.
